Motor Protection Thermistors

PTC thermistors are designed for over-temperature protection of motor field/stator windings. They are normally used in conjunction with a VSD or motor protection relay, and transition to a high resistance state when the specified temperature is exceeded, shutting off the supply to the motor in order to prevent overheating.
